[After telling Kotone that Kurt's going to be moving in and clearing out Quentin's old stuff (in which Scott just shoved everything in boxes before placing them in a closet), it's only expected to actually have said mutant meet his girlfriend. Ange too, of course, but one thing at a time!! Something something not overwhelming the fuzzy blue elf, because Kotone is a lot on her own--
Scott smiles back at Kurt one more time as they near his home, mostly as an act of encouragement. It's a big move, right? Even though he's probably used it to in his own way, given that lives in Professor Xavier's mansion. Still...]
She'll like you, promise.
[It's just the four of them total, half mutants, half humans. Kind of different. Scott knows this.]
[When they get there, they'll find Kotone in the living room, sitting cross-legged on the couch (she has leggings under her short skirt) beside a basket overflowing with different scraps of fabric. It's hard to tell what she's making with it, because the second she spots the other two, her project gets dropped right into the basket when she jumps to her feet.]
Hi Scott!! [Her red ponytail bounces a bit with her steps as she comes closer, giving her boyfriend a bright smile before turning her attention to the newcomer with more than a little curiosity to her smile.] Hi! I'm Kotone. You're new here?
[Kurt's a bit nervous about meeting someone new! He decided to keep the image inducer off, since it feels like there's no point hiding what he looks like from someone who is both Scott's girlfriend and his new housemate. Especially seeing as she's Scott's new girlfriend, he feels like he shouldn't have any worries about her accepting him. But he still feels nervous, because no matter what, it feels like he can never really predict how people can will react to him.
So he shuffles in with Scott and meekly smiles. So far, so good! And he raises a three-fingered hand in greeting.]
Hey there! I'm definitely new in the neighborhood. I'm Kurt Wagner! It's, um, it's good to meet you. I'm a friend of Scott's! ...Just a world removed or so!
[Ignore how Scott immediately gets the dopiest face in the world when Kotone stands up and cheerfully greets them. Oh yeah, he has it bad. It's clear to her, clear to everyone else that knows them, and probably clear to Kurt. Sorry that he's like this. Look, can you blame him!! She is really cute and everything...
Luckily, loverboy finally manages to snap out of it and he smiles towards Kurt momentarily, before looking back at Kotone and adding just a little more clarification to his introduction. Well, not before placing a supporting hand on the other mutant's shoulder.]
Different worlds, but still best friends. [Even if he hasn't talked all that much about the mutants from his world to her, if only because he's known them for a day at best. Don't worry about that. Kurt and him are definitely friends now-- Scott wants that anyway.]
[He's quick to answer, seemingly as chipper then ever.]
Guten tag! Tou've reached the phone of Kurt Wagner, the awesome Nightcrawler. I must be off being awesome right now! Please leave a message after the [He then just makes a bamfing sound as he teleports, followed by some chuckling.]
[Despite all the bad things that happened right before the reset, Scott can genuinely say that he's also relieved. He woke up back in bed with all his memories intact (at least he thinks so) and the glitching seemed to have stop in the world. It's something to possibly celebrate, like it felt like they've accomplished the mission, but it's hard to be super optimistic when he remembers everything that happened.
He almost wants to sleep some more, close his eyes against everything for just a bit longer, but he needs to get up. He should get up. After all, he wants to check on his friends, all the people that he cares about. At least his roommates is a good start for that, right? And they're hopefully close by.
With that thought, he makes his way out of his room and-- hey, is that Kurt? Scott raises a hand up in an automatic greeting, a small smile in place.]
[Kurt might be done with every kind of glitch, but instead he feels like he has a persistent itch. It feels like every little thing is getting on his nerves, including his toast being lightly charred. Even Scott's normally comforting presence feels like it's cutting off his train of thought, so Kurt responds without looking directly at him, giving a gruff-]
Scott finds himself blinking slowly behind his glasses as the remaining remnants of those lethargic feelings fade away. Okay, something is clearly going on if even Kurt is acting grumpy. Like sure Kurt has bad days and maybe his friend is still reeling from everything that just happened, but usually he's a little more upbeat than this. Well, that's really only more reason for him to check on his friend.
He starts walking closer with a familiar little worried frown on him.]
What's up?? Bad morning? [The implication of 'do you want to talk about it' rising into the air.]
[And Kurt just feels a renewed sense of frustration. He lowers his head and shakes it.]
What's with all the questions, man? Can you get off my back? I'm just - trying to wake up here, but nothing's working right! [He waves the charred toast around.] And who got OJ with so much pulp in it anyway??
[You wake up in a courtroom. You’re not really sure how you got here, just that you’re here. There’s Jerry, sitting at the judges box. For some he might be new, and others he might be familiar or semi-familiar. He scrutinizes you, and then motions to the jury box. There’s a plaque that’s sitting on the outside that says “Council”, but there’s no one sitting there. Everything looks clean and maintained, but there’s no one in the courtroom but you and Jerry.
Weird.]
You are charged with matricide.
[There’s something about his expression that makes you think that he might’ve already made up his mind…]
The Council has found you Guilty of this crime. In order to repent and further your rehabilitation, you have been charged to seek out criminal wrongdoings amongst your friends and companions. Choose an ally and escort them to the courthouse to face trial. If there is no action taken, there will be consequences.
[You wake up back in your bed. You remember everything – Jerry, the jury box, the words he spoke to you. Maybe you remember the words he spoke more vividly than anything else.
However you decide to proceed… there will be consequences.]
[ooc: you have until November 15th to submit your Sentencing HERE. Even if your character doesn’t proceed with the Sentencing, you must comment on the NPC inbox for your penalty.
Also, there are effects for ignoring this Sentencing. It may feel subtle during the first week, but afterwards Kurt may find more and more parts of his body turning to stone the more it gets ignored. If you have any questions about Sentencing, please direct it to the Mod Contact post.]

[ The video opens to Mitama, though just like in her recent post, she's wearing her "Santa disguise". She's here on an important business, after all. ]
Ho, ho, ho! Thank you for joining our Secret Santa event~ It's time to find out what ─ or rather who ─ your assignment as Santa's Little Helper for this year is! Drumroll, please...
[ She makes a pause for a dramatic effect, her hand slipping into a Santa hat she's holding and pulling out a small piece of paper with a name on it. ]
It's none other than... Morph, the enigma!
Remember, you should present your assignee with a gift of your choice until December 25th! Good luck, and remember: your main task is to spread joy, happiness and the spirit of Christmas cheer!
[Should Kurt happen to look outside at the right time, he might see someone lurking around who literally looks like Santa, big white beard and all. Either way, a couple of presents have been left outside his door with his name on them.
The first is a dark blue boombox, half-sized to be portable. It looks like it's barely been used, if at all, and comes along with a couple of cassette tapes for Pearl Jam and Oasis. The second present includes a tin of cookies from a local bakery, large flat sugar cookies decorated with icing for the holiday, and a dart board that comes with a bundle of real-deal pointy darts. A note tucked in with it all reads, Sorry for missing your birthday! Hope this makes up for it. - Morph]
Hey, Elf. I just wanna call in to make sure you all right. Mansion took a hit, but it got its legs still. I'm just soarin' around collecting what I can for it. But I wanted to hear from ya. See if ya need anythin'.
Rogue! Hey! I'm fine, really. It was kinda crazy for a while there and I tired myself out a little, but now I'm good. But what about you? Are you okay? I can help you find whatever you need for the mansion!
Thank the stars you're fine, Sweetie. Be sure you get plenty of rest while things are calm. I think we've mustered up all we can with wood. We just gotta do all the handiwork.
[something she is not looking forward into doing, but she is in high spirits that it won't take too long.]
But if ya can find more, why, we'll be grinnin' like a possum eating a sweet tater.
