[Ignore how Scott immediately gets the dopiest face in the world when Kotone stands up and cheerfully greets them. Oh yeah, he has it bad. It's clear to her, clear to everyone else that knows them, and probably clear to Kurt. Sorry that he's like this. Look, can you blame him!! She is really cute and everything...

Luckily, loverboy finally manages to snap out of it and he smiles towards Kurt momentarily, before looking back at Kotone and adding just a little more clarification to his introduction. Well, not before placing a supporting hand on the other mutant's shoulder.]

Different worlds, but still best friends. [Even if he hasn't talked all that much about the mutants from his world to her, if only because he's known them for a day at best. Don't worry about that. Kurt and him are definitely friends now-- Scott wants that anyway.]

He's blue and cool.

[They've been together for several months now, and yet that dopey look on Scott's face is still as charming as ever. Kotone can't help but toss him a playful little wink, as if to wordlessly say yeah, I see you, before returning her full attention back to Kurt. He sure is blue, huh...? Kind of reminds her of her Persona Loki in some ways.

Also wow, can Scott tell Kurt is blue? Guess his glasses shading this guy purple instead of red makes him stand out- though Kotone seems to take it in stride, just blinking once at his fingers, before glancing back up to meet his eyes.]

Blue and cool? Some guys have all the luck! [she teases with a small laugh before clasping her own hands behind her back and turning on her heel, clearly intent on leading them both toward the kitchen.] It's nice to meet you, too! I made sugar cookies earlier if you want some!

[He never thought he'd see that lovesick expression on Scott's face while looking at anyone other than Jean! But that just cements even more that this is the Real Deal. He grins at Scott while his hand is on his shoulder, before moving his attention back to Kotone.]

What can I say? I'm a man of many talents! [He says with a soft chuckle in response to her appraisal. So far, so goof! Her bubbliness almost reminds him more of Kitty than Jean. And his smile only brightens at the mention of sugar cookies!]

Cookies?! Of course! Man, you do know how to win a guy over! [With most of his anxieties cast away, he's ready to follow her to the kitchen!]

[Scott really had no doubt that she would accept Kurt without batting an eye. That's just the kind of person she is, just effortlessly making him feel so normal even when he doesn't feel that himself sometimes. So, he gently nudges Kurt to walk ahead and follow Kotone over to the kitchen. He'll be right behind, promise.]

It's how she won me over. [Scott laughs, sending his girlfriend another teasing smile. Not that he's tense or super serious outside, but there's definitely an extra level of happiness to him now that she's around. Boy has it bad--] Her cookies are great man. She runs the cooking club here, so dude, we never have to live off TV dinners.

[Or sandwiches. Or mac and cheese. Although, Scott actually knows how to cook a few dishes himself because he got tugged along to cooking club. Mostly to please Kotone but cooking is important anyway HE GUESSES.]

[Kotone's usual attitude to weird things is simply an overwhelming "that might as well happen." Scott's new-old best friend is blue and has three fingers? Sure, why not. Her team back home had both a robot and a dog who could summon a manifestation of their inner soul to fight with, so... everything could always be weirder!]

Oh, is that how? [Scott's not spared from that teasing tone of voice as she glances back over her shoulder to toss them both a cheerful smile.] Anyway, I'm definitely more of a baker than a cook. You should join Cooking Club, too!

[The least formal club ever, it's basically just a free pass to show up and use a communal kitchen whenever. But, as promised, there's a rack of sugar cookies that were left to cool in the kitchen. No decorations or anything, they're pretty simple! But delicious nonetheless.]

[It's definitely a refreshing welcome to Kurt! He can already imagine how someone like this could be a good match for Scott - someone quick to accept anyone, human or mutant, as normal. Now with more ease in his step, Kurt walks off into the kitchen with a grin on his face.]

Wow, that's awesome! [And it does cause him to think of another aspect of living here that he hasn't put much thought to: food. While he would gladly try living off of fast food, he's also used to the mansion being packed with food, and with plenty of others aside between the teachers and students who could step up to prepare meals. Maybe it's time he stepped up to start making things himself.]

A Cooking Club, huh? [He rubs at his chin in thought, while glancing towards the sugar cookies.] You know, I probably could stand to learn a thing or two about working the kitchen myself! Maybe I will look into it.

[Especially if the other members are even half as nice as Kotone! Kurt's grin grows as he pinches a cookie between his fingers and goes to consume it!] Sweeeet! [He says with his mouth full.] My compliments to the che- baker!

Maybe a couple other things. [In how she won him over. Maybe the time she almost killed him-- best meet and cute ever.

Scott leans against the kitchen counter as Kurt and Kotone chat for a moment, just... pleased to see his friend already hitting it off with his girlfriend. It's not just the cookies either! Even as he rolls his eyes when Kurt starts talking with his mouth full. Gross dude.]

And it's an actual requirement that if you join cooking club, you have to join my club, Kurt. Teenagers With Abilities and Talents. [The stupid club he made almost a year ago because he wanted to find people like him, not feel like the a giant freak in a place that he just got taken to. Kotone was honestly the one that helped him think of the idea in the first place.

And it's helped him quite a bit since then, talking to other teenagers that have crazy abilities. He thinks it'll be good for Kurt as well.]

[Ah, a fellow talks-with-their-mouth-full friend... comrade-!!

Kotone just laughs and waves off his thanks, moving past him to grab a container the put the rest in for later. No plastic or anything, it's a little tin that by all rights should have sewing supplies in it instead of cookies -- but it matches the general aesthetic. Everything Kotone's brought into the kitchen seems like it's from an era a good hundred years before her own relatively-modern 2010. Aldrip may have more modern tech now, but it hadn't been that way for a long time, long enough for her to accumulate some stuff.]

There's a lot of really interesting people in Scott's club, too. It's fun!

[As she starts putting the cookies away, she glances back toward Kurt with a little curiosity.] Do you have mutant powers, too? Like Scott.

[Kurt does look over towards Scott as he describes his club, with a smile both intrigued and sly.]

'Teenagers with Abilities and Talents'...? Sounds like your own X-Men there! Or would they be the C-Men? [He shrugs.] Either way, it sounds like a place for me!

[And then his smile grows to more of a smirk at Kotone's question.]

Oh, you bet I do! It's not the powers of fur and handsomeness! I also... [With that, he poofs away, only to reappear with all his limbs crawling on the ceiling, leaving puffs of quickly-dissolving smoke in his wake.] ...really have a way of getting around!

Yeah, just like the X-Men.

[Totally, yeah. Don't mind the slightly awkward smile on Scott's face, it's probably unnoticeable to most! But okay, the C-Men?? Scott runs the name a few times in his head and... no. No they can't. Even if it's on brand because his club is called TWAT for short. This is too far. He has to put a stop somewhere.

But whatever passing awkwardness on Scott's end disappears when Kurt starts talking about his powers-- showing them off. He waves some of the smoke from his face when he poofs, but it's clear that Scott's having a good time still. Kurt's ability is really neat, huh? Just being able to teleport anywhere and stuff.]

He calls himself the Amazing Nightcrawler-- pretty fitting. I'll give him that.

Oh, like Club-Men! [The sparkle in Kotone's eye is a definite hint that she's fully appreciating the joke -- the same part of her that hadn't discouraged him from calling it 'TWAT' in the first place.

That's just enough time for him to poof away. Kotone just blinks, looking around for a moment before following the sound of his voice to the ceiling. Maybe underwhelmingly, she just looks impressed and only a little surprised. Like, she didn't think him being blue was weird, him suddenly teleporting just gets a little ! of surprise from the sudden motion. Why wouldn't a blue guy teleport??

She applauds as if she's seen a cool trick, though! It seems completely genuine, too. No mockery here!]

Woooow, cool! That would be super useful. I've only ever teleported with like, teleporters!

['Club-Men' does get a little snort out of Kurt. And he's quite pleased with the reaction to his demonstration! Kotone does make for a great audience.

He grins and releases his hands from the ceiling to dangle upside down while continuing the conversation.]

It's really just Nightcrawler. [Scott must be remembering the flourish he put on at that show.] The 'amazing' is optional, or can be substituted for your adjective of choice! You're right, though, I feel like it's one of the most useful powers there are. So you've only teleported with... teleporters? [That sure is a sentence.]

[He has to put a stop to his girlfriend........

He kind of forgot that Kotone has used teleporters before, back in Tartarus. It's a strange tower where strange things happened, so guess it makes sense that she was able to teleport around with technology that's probably way more advanced than her time period. Yeah, sure. Still, can Tartarus teleporters teleport like Kurt? He doesn't think so.

Scott smiles up at Kurt, almost like he's goading him just a little.]

Hey Kurt, wanna give Kotone a personal showing? [He trusts you dude.]

Yep! Kirijo-senpai could tell you more about them if you're curious.

["Yep," that's all the clarification she gives to the concept of teleporters. Like, she thought it was pretty clear...? No further explanation necessary, and if Kurt wants more, well, he'll just have to talk to Mitsuru. Exposition isn't really her thing.

Scott gets a curious look and a raised eyebrow, because hm? Personal showing? But undeterred, she claps her hands and returns her gaze to the ceiling, craning her neck a bit.]

Sure! You can show me!

[Fine, keep your secrets...

In any case, Kurt is eager to keep on showing off and impress a new friend! So he's all too glad to go along with Scott's suggestion.]

Awesome! [With that, he drops himself down to the floor beside Scott. He then goes to place a hand on Kotone's shoulder.]

Get ready to be beside yourself with amazement.

[Bamf! With that, Kurt teleports with Kotone right behind Scott. Just instant movement.]

Or beside Scott!

[Scott nearly rolls his eyes when Kotone just tells Kurt to ask Mitsuru for more details. That's his girlfriend all right, passing the buck to someone else, especially when it comes to explaining things. He'll never forget how she made him explain Persona stuff to Seimei even though he doesn't even use one to begin with! For someone that saved the world and is the leader of SEES, she certainly is kind of lazy sometimes, huh?

He loves her though.

His grin widens when Kurt starts teleporting with Kotone and while he doesn't expect her to be fully surprised or anything, maybe he'll catch something. He can hope! If not, he'll just have to settle for the fact that his best friend and his girlfriend are getting along so well. Definitely a consolation prize.]

[Listen, part of being a leader is delegating responsibilities! And that's what she's doing all the time when it's something she doesn't want to do. Like explain things.]

[Bamf! Suddenly she's behind Scott, the -dy of ready coming out in an almost-squeak of surprise as she plants both hands firmly on Scott's waist to catch herself. A breath later, then she's laughing, keeping her hold on her boyfriend while tossing Kurt a joyful little grin.]

Cool! How far can you go?

[Kurt wishes he could delegate explanations to other people... Maybe he should have Scott explain how his powers work to people all the time.

In any case, he's delighted that she enjoyed their little trip so well! It's one of the best reactions to a first teleport he's gotten for sure. He steps back, grins and gives a little bow.]

I can go two miles if I really push it. But I don't go that far too often. I gotta see or know where I'm going, after all!

[Kurt... not you too...

But he heard that small little squeak from her. So, some things can still surprise Kotone after all. His smile turns slightly smug, although that lighthearted ease is still apparent as he lowers one hand to wrap around hers in a steady grip. Not that he thinks she needs it, but sue him for wanting to hold her hand.]

Still one of the coolest ways to travel. [Behind supersonic planes or modified motorcycles. Scott tosses an encouraging smile over at him.] Maybe you should start charging for trips.

[Except he gets a lifetime pass of course!!]

Scott will pay for mine!

[Just instantly deciding that if Kurt does decide to start charging, she'll get free rides (courtesy of Scott). Her smile is a little smaller as she squeezes Scott's hand, the curve of her lips a little more genuine as she gazes up at him in spite of the mischief dancing her eyes.

Then she glances back to Kurt with a flash of inspiration.]

Could you teleport us up to the roof of the house, then? It might be fun to sit up there and talk!

[She's like the small dog on the counter, she loves to be tall.]

Such a generous boyfriend you have there, Kotone! [He smirks, looking from her to Scott. He might not ever really charge for rides, and if he does Scott would get that lifetime pass, but he prefers to joke otherwise to mess with his friend.]

The roof, huh? I think I got a good enough look at it on my way in!

[He nods and he approaches, to rest one hand on each of their shoulders.]

This one'll be on the house. [He winks, and then bamf! Right up on the rooftop they are.]

[Wow, look at what he has to put up with!! Not to mention Kurt just encouraging this. Being betrayed by his best friend already... Scott sees how it is. But turning his gaze down at her, he boops her on the nose with his free hand, before gently squeezing their hands together. His smile is smaller, but still just as obvious and affectionate as ever.

Sorry Kurt that you have to witness this--

But Scott at least snaps his attention back to his friend rather quickly, that quieter smile turning into a more energetic and bright one because hell yeah, sitting on the roof sounds fun. Although, there's an obvious groan upon hearing that pun, the sound only getting cut off when Kurt teleports them steadily onto the roof. Whoa, okay, they're here now.

Awesome. He still holds onto Kotone's hand as he stands and looks around.]

Now I'm undeniably king of the house.

[Yes, just him. He sends both of them a smartass grin.]

[Her nose scrunches up when he boops it, her cheeks flushing with the tiniest hint of embarrassment as swats good-naturedly at his hand -- don't boop! -- before laughing at Kurt's pun. The laughter cuts off as abruptly as Scott's groan when they're suddenly on the roof, whoa! and then she starts laughing again, if only because her boyfriend is equally as corny. Seems like he and Kurt are a good match!

Still, she tugs at his hand, trying to encourage him to sit so she can perch atop the roof and gaze out over what they can see of town from here. It's changed a lot, and she doesn't yet know if it's for the better, but they have no choice but to accept it.]

Sandwich king, king of the house... I keep forgetting I'm in the presence of royalty!

[She waves for Kurt to sit with them, too -- make yourself comfortable here on this... angled roof... nice...] Has Scott shown you around town yet?

[Of course Scott's so embarrassing with his girlfriend, this seems to be another constant across universes. He kinda wishes he had Kitty or someone around to make fun of them with! As it is, he'll just contain his laughter while feeling a little fond at recognizing another Proof of Scott.

Once they're on the roof, he releases his hold on the lovebirds and stretches his arms out while taking in the view. He raises an eyebrow at Scott's quip.]

What does that make me, the court jester? [He shrugs and shakes his head.

He then crouches down near the two as they continue talking.]

He showed me a few vital places, like a sandwich stop! And I also took a walk around town for myself. This city's a lot to take in!

[Scott easily plops down on the roof next to her, getting comfortable as he laughs once more when Kotone comments about his royal status. Yeah, that's him. And okay, getting as comfortable as he can because they're sitting on tiles of his roof, but it's cool. All about the experience... and that's watching the city with his girlfriend and his best friend.

[He teases Kurt as the other mutant takes his seat as well.]

Have you been to the arcade yet, Kurt? We definitely need to go there sometime. [It's tradition now, taking Kurts to the arcade.]
