I nearly got lost going in circles for an entire day looking for those things in the forest, and I didn't find nearly that many.

i just spent a long time searching
and tried to cover a lot of ground as fast as possible

Yeah, no duh. I got that far in with a whole party and it's lucky I ever made it back out of the forest at all.
