A sleeping buddy? Great going, you're ahead of the game! [He gives her a thumbs up.] Are you two thinking of charming any enemies away?

Aw, I spent all day in the bathroom and I didn't see any ghosts there. I don't think the guys and girls I were with saw anything either.

[Let that sink in. She had guys and girls in the restroom with her.]

Oh, I dunno about that. It looks like you're the one trying to do the charming around here, huh?

[He just called her charming! He invited the flirting.]

Well, you're lucky then. Trust me, you don't want to meet these ghosts. [He shakes his head, but then he blinks as that one detail sets in.] Wait, what kind of bathroom was this...?

[But then he points to himself sheepishly at the accusations of trying to charm.]

[She still doesn't think it was a big deal.]

Precisely! [It's more of a spelling pun, but she'll take it just as she'll take his hand and give a firm handshake.] It's nice to meet you, Kurt. Or it would be, but we're stuck in ghost school. Let's make the most of it, alright?

If- if you say so! Boys just aren't supposed to wander into the girl's bathroom, you know...

[Headscratch. Kurt gives his own, looser handshake.]

Right! Making the most of ghost school is pretty much all we can do for now...

[Firm for Precis isn't very strong to begin with, so that works. She's still puny.]

I don't know about you, but I'm in a better mood now. I was starting to worry I'd feel mopey.

Well, I guess that gives them immunity... [He says a little jokingly. But really, that's what had happened to him, too. ...Except in Kurt's case, it was only done to take shelter in a life-threatening situation. Still, it doesn't seem like something to argue about it.]

Man, I'm glad to hear it! Being mopey stinks. Especially on your first day of school!

Oh, yeah, the first day! Only instead of my old man crying at the gates, he has no clue where I am right now.

[She did planet-hop before arriving, so that makes changing locations even more complicated.]

[Well maybe he could!!]

R-right. [He says with a nervous smile. Even though it sounds like she's making light of it, it still sounds like a sad thing.] At least it, um... saves us on some tears. Until we find our way out of this joint!

[She's always cynical, don't mind her. She could point out that being here might make some people cry, but she won't. Maybe she's the more iron-spirited of the two. Maybe Kurt is the crier and she's the shoulder.]

Right! And where there's an entrance, there's an exit! Now that I'm here, our chances of finding it have doubled!

[It's a very likely analysis... Shoulder on, Precis.

Kurt smirks confidently at her statement.]

Hey, I can't argue with hat confidence! Should we start calling you Exit Girl?

You can call me anything as long as it's not "Stuck Here Forever Girl."

[That would be pretty much the worst superhero name to have in a place like this, right? But she quickly adds on an addendum.]

Oh, but no weird nicknames. I gotta preserve my cuteness a little, y'know?

[Kurt laughs.]

Don't worry. That one doesn't have that much of a catch to it anyway. And I wasn't planning on using the other one seriously anyway. You can keep your cute name for yourself, Precis.

Well, as long as I've got your permission to keep using it, I will!

[Sounds like a fair deal to her.]

You're kind of funny. You and I, we should keep talking.

Good job. I hope I don't have to sign a permission slip or anything...

[Precis is smart enough to figure out that it's been registering people after she learned their names. If it were a proximity issue, she'd have the names of a lot more students.]
