[Kurt is just 5ever ignoring those bloodstains thank you very much. Dal Dal busting into the room randomly isn't unexpected, but the cookies are.

He hesitantly approaches and narrows his eyes as he looks at the cookies, but it seems to be at least partly in a teasing manner. He's smirking as well.]

Is there a catch?

[It has been so long since he's had cookies... The temptation is strong to just drop the joke and go for them. But he also has no idea if they'll be good. It might just be like Kitty's attempted muffins all over again...]

[ thankfully for kurt, dal dal's so exhausted these days that she can't even muster up her usual temper for the little things anymore. so instead she just glowers at him, expression flat. ]

Yeah. Calories.

Do monkeys care about their figures?

[She does seem different than usual. He wonders if somethings wrong, and feels like it's probably best to definitely place nice with her today. But he'll still joke around, and give a girlish mock-swoon.]

Oh no, anything but that! Soon, the girl monkeys won't give me the time of day! Let alone any bananas. But, I just can't resist!

[Then he finally grabs a cookie and gives a grateful smile.]

[ she just rolls her eyes at him, seemingly in a better mood to take the joking... especially since they're not directed at her. ]

You have to tell me if it's good, okay? I tweaked the recipe they taught us in the baking club a little bit.

[ she just. watches and waits for him to try it... oAo... ]

[He tries to give a persistent smile for a moment. If he can get a genuine laugh out of her someday...! ...Without it being at his expense.]

Don't worry, you can trust me. I'll be your official taste tester! I didn't know you rolled with a baking club...

[But then he'll chew right into the cookie; his eyes widen in delight, and there's a definite "Mmm!" sound as he chews on it.

He had been turning away from pure chocolate because of his disgust at the present from the nurse for his death, but luckily that didn't bother him when it came to this cookie. It was the kind of deliciousness he hasn't experienced for a long time!]

[ she watches with earnest as he eats, her lips slowly turning up in a proud smile as he shows his enjoyment of the treat. ]

I'd prefer to cook actual meals, but this is the closest I can get to it for now.

[ she inches a little closer. if she'd known about his little aversion, she might have been a bit more sensitive to it. but as it stands, she finds nothing off about offering him chocolate. ]

Do you like it? Is it good?

[It's okay, it's different enough from the nurse's chocolate that the thought is only creeping on his mind. And even with that, the last thing Kurt wants to do is live a life without chocolate.

He nods as he finishes his bite, some crumbs on his chin. ...Wow, it's almost like Dal Dal is an actual person who is capable of kindness.]

I've got no complaints. Not even a single joke. This is one sweet cookie!

I never guessed you could cook. I thought all your spare time was dedicated to kicking butt.

[ WHO WOULDA THUNK, RITE? ]

Only when butts need to be kicked, [ she answers sweetly. threateningly. ]

[Ah, there's the Dal Dal he knows and fears.

He just gives a nervous laughter as he starts to reach for the cookie.]

Sold! Man, it feels like a lifetime since I've had great cookies. It really brings me back!

[ she just eyes him weirdly. ]

What? Your mom never made you cookies?

Hey now, I never said never! It's just... been like a long time, you know?

[Luckily, he thinks of the mother who raised him, not the one he saw shatter into stone pieces.]

Don't doubt my mom's cookies!

[ that is quite fortunate, yes.

and she holds up her free hand, surrendering. ]

Okay, okay... What kind of cookies would she make?

[He crosses his arms confidently.]

Oh man, where to begin... we had the best honey cookies you could ever hope to taste! And not to mention... [He starts effortlessly shooting off a series of German cookie names.]

[ she makes a bit of a face at the foreign words. ]

If you can get me the recipe, I can see if it's manageable with what we have.

Alright! I'll see if I can remember all of it, fraulein!

Hang on, I didn't say I'd make everything!

I didn't say you had to! But that would be really tasty!

Don't push your luck!

[ she holds out the plate of cookies again ]

Do you want anymore or not?

Okay okay! [He raises his hands defensively.]

...Is there a limit on how many? [He will go to grab one more for now, though.]

You can take the whole thing if you want! I know my cooking's pretty amazing~

[ suddenly bolstered! ]

Really? But, I mean, I don't want to deprive others of these cookies... and I'm pretty sure everyone's going to look at me like I'm a glutton!

Well? [ she smirks at him. ] Are you a glutton?

I... I'm a growing boy, that's all! [His metabolism may be a mutant power of its own.]

[ SNICKER ]

Sure thing, "growing boy"... [ she just hands the plate to him, tbh. ] Just return that plate to the home ec room when you're done, okay?

[He sighs, but he has a grateful smile as he takes the plate and looks over all them yummy cookies.]

Fine, fine. But I'll give some to other people, I swear! ...Thanks, Dal Dal.
